Really enjoying We Are All Alive! The girls are extremely cute. The whole thing gives me that “like shoujo manga for guys” feeling lol. I’d love to see this adapted into an anime :O

  Well, Tiv’s other manga series has an anime adaption (albeit by a crap company), so if WAAA! gets continued, maybe. It’s only at one volume right now.

    Kami-sama no Memou-chou? Yeah I don’t like the anime, but for what it’s worth, it’s originally a series of light novels anyway. But J.C. Staff is far from a bad company.       I don’t even watch anime. But everybody I’ve talked to so far (they watch a helluva lot) say that J.C. Staff sucks and that I should ignore them altogether.

Thanks for chapter 2 of “We are all alive” – I’d never heard of it until you picked it up but it’s quite a nice mix of cute and quirky.

Thanks for “Hoken no Sensei” and “We are all alive!”. And I’m looking fordward to “Let’s go play!”, too.

BTW, the thing about “saving face” in “we are…” chapter 1 (I’ve just started reading this series), there are lots of places in the West were “saving face” is viewed as being more important than money. It can get to the extent of being made a fool because of trying to “keep honor”, “don’t tarnish family’s (or own’s) reputation” and so on.
As an example, my own family (mother’s side) lost most of their money because someone stole their heritage and they didn’t want to make a fuss, lest they’d lose dignity and composure.
East and West aren’t as different as they want us to think (except those who want to break with their past, since “they are modern”).

  I’m not saying that “saving face” doesn’t exist in Western society, but moreso, it’s more emphasized as a specific concept in the East than in the West. Of course it exists in the West, but it’s not very reference as being such.
