The next version is outtttt!! Finally D: RikaiCake is now over a colossal 5,150 entries!
That’s an increase of around 2/3 the original dictionary! Holy cow D:
With this, I believe the dictionary will be extremely helpful for translators!
Be sure to share the love and pass the word around to friends and other groups :)
You can pick up the new update from the RikaiCake page, or simply update it in Firefox.

Hi, I’m not sure this is the right place to ask this but I’ve been wanting to make my own pop-up dictionary like Rikaichan but for Japanese to another language (that isn’t currently offered anywhere), as well as pop-up dictionaries for a couple different languages in general (not necessarily from Japanese as the source language) so I was wondering if you have any tutorials/help for how to go about making the dictionary files so Rikaichan/whatever can use them? I don’t know anything about programming but I’d need to be able to do the same as you, add random entries and then update the extension on my own ;_;
Yeah, I’m no pro either. I simply broke up an existing dictionary addon and edited the dictionary database itself.
Alright, thanks!
