  Just for reference, shifu isn’t a “name”, it’s a title (a chinese honorary for a master, which is why you might not have heard of it if you’ve only studied Japanese). So unless you’re going to be in the habit of changing “x-sensei” to “sensei x” or “teacher x”, you shouldn’t swap the order of Xuelan and Shifu. The correct way to write it in English would be “Xuelan-shifu”.

  Just so other commenters know I’m not talking out of my ass, the raw is here https://lhscan.net/read-darwins-game-raw-chapter-61.html and if you can read kana (don’t even need the kanji since furigana is available), you will see that this is written in the expected order, “shu-e-ra-n-shi-fu”, at both locations on page 26.

    I’m Chinese-Canadian, so I’m not exactly out of the loop. I probably wasn’t thinking too hard when I put Shifu in front and forgot all about its usage. You’re right in that it should come after, not before. I’ll reverse it from now on.
